Fishing
The Ignace area boasts many rivers and lakes that support excellent
fishing. Finding a peaceful spot won't be a problem. Most freshwater
species are found in area waters.
Most common are:
- Walleye (Pickerel)
- Northern Pike
- Lake Trout
- Smallmouth Bass
- Perch
- Whitefish
- Speckle Trout
As our guest you have access to countless lakes, all within an hour's
drive from base camp. We can equip you with boats/motors or you can
use your own. We will direct you to the 'hot spots' on the lakes.
Many of our guests enjoy our weekly fishing excursion in which we
take our guests out fishing with us to our favourite fishing spots,
a free guided trip that familiarizes them with lakes in our area.
On site there is:
- a boat launch
- screened fish cleaning house
- freezer room
Many of our guests clean their own fish, if you are not one, arrangements
can be made for your fish to be cleaned for an additional fee. |
